"I first saw #PortraitsforNHSheroes as a perfect opportunity to paint my beautiful, brilliant paramedic daughter. We are so proud of her. It was not originally my intention to do multiple portraits but the response to that first painting was so powerful and the keyworkers reaching out to me so lovely and polite that I couldn't say no. I have enjoyed completing these portraits so much and it has been so wonderful to get to know all these everyday heroes who I wouldn't have otherwise ever met.

We will be clapping again tonight for all frontline workers but the NHS and its personnel really deserve to be recognized and rewarded not just with applause but with the funds and supplies they so desperately need."
